• The phrase I had in mind while designing them was “hauntingly beautiful”
• Keeping that phrase in mind, their overall design is meant to resemble a ghost (and more subtly the moon)
• Their appearance was initially based on a red costate tiger moth which is why they have a yellow tint in their eyes
• MAJOR BG3 SPOILERS (highlight this next portion to read) Their color scheme & appearance resembles Orin’s b/c…yeah
• While sometimes difficult to spot at certain angles, Ceres has subtle hues of blue/purple throughout their design (skin tone, hair, & more obviously in their eyes & some of their outfits) which contrasts with the striking red that’s most visible in their design
• -> Visually represents the overwhelming presence of the urge (red) & the somewhat vain attempt to resist (blue)
• Second bg3 oc to not follow the number naming convention (e.g, Nine, Seven, Eight)
• Ceres is a slight rework of Seven, but I still consider them separate characters

• The colors are also a contrast to Sen’s morality (blues & whites tend to look more “pure” despite his actual nature)
